We try hard to keep this site accurate, including the legal and pricing details on ourstate inspection page. Laws change and vehicles differ. Nothing here is a diagnosis of your particular vehicle, and nothing here is legal advice. When it matters, call (804) 737-2828 and talk to a person.

Prices and estimates

Any "from" price on this site is a starting point for common vehicles, not a quote. Your quote comes after we look at your car. The one exception is the Virginia state inspection fee, which is set by statute and is the same at every station in the Commonwealth.

Drop-off notices

Lloyd's does not take appointments. Submitting the form on this site tells the shop to expect you — it does not reserve a time, a bay, or a place in the queue, because there is no queue to hold. Vehicles are worked on in the order they are dropped off.

The site assistant

The chat assistant is automated software. It is grounded in the pages of this website and is instructed not to invent prices, but it can still be wrong. Treat it as a starting point, not as a commitment from the shop, and never as a substitute for having someone look at the vehicle.
