How long does a car battery last?
Three to five years in this climate. Heat is the limiting factor here, not cold. Once it is past three, get it load-tested at every oil change.
My car clicks but does not start. Battery or starter?
A rapid machine-gun clicking is usually a battery too weak to turn the engine. A single loud clunk with lights that stay bright is more often the starter. Either way it is a five-minute test rather than a guess.
Can you find why my battery keeps going dead overnight?
Yes — that is a parasitic draw test. We measure what is still drinking current after the car has gone to sleep and then isolate it circuit by circuit. It takes a bit of patience and it beats buying batteries forever.
