Any weekday from 8:00 AM. Earlier is better — a car that lands first thing has the whole day to get looked at.

The free 16-point check runs alongside whatever you came in for, and we photograph anything worth showing you.

Optional, but it helps. Your name goes on the counter, we know what to look for, and we can tell you if something is going to be a problem before you drive over.

Do I need an appointment at Lloyd’s Tire & Auto?
No — and you can't really make one. We don't run an appointment book. You drop the car off and we work through the day's vehicles in the order they land. Telling us you're coming just means your name is at the counter and we know what to look for.
What time should I drop off?
In the morning. We open at 8:00 AM and take vehicles in through the morning — first thing is best, because a car that lands at eight has the whole day to get looked at. We do not take afternoon drop-offs, and there is no after-hours key box; if your morning is gone, call and we will put you down for the next one.
Can I leave it before you open?
No. There is no before-hours key box. Bring the vehicle and keys inside once the shop opens at 8:00 AM.
How long will it take?
Depends what it needs and what is already in the bays. A state inspection dropped in the morning is usually done by lunch. A brake job is usually same day. Anything that needs a part ordered depends on the part. We'll tell you honestly once we've looked — we don't guess at a time to get you off the phone.
Do I have to wait with the car?
You can, and there is a waiting room. But for anything beyond a quick inspection you are better off leaving it with us — there is no appointment slot to wait through, so waiting means waiting for whatever is in front of you.
What happens after I drop it off?
We look at it, photograph anything we find, and call or text you with what it needs and what it costs. Nothing gets done without a yes from you.
